4 Reasons to Start Doing What You Love

It’s a crying shame that so many adults go about their daily routines doing what they don’t love. How many people can there be who fall out of bed every morning reluctantly, grab a few mouthfuls of ‘wake-me-up’ coffee and join the masses going to work to have yet another unfulfilled day?

Every day there’s someone saying “I hate my job”. Yes times are hard and the usual response to that is “Why can’t you be grateful that you even have a job”. I agree, to an extent, but I get that it’s super challenging when you spend each and every precious day stressing in a job that you don’t love. In a lot of cases, people are doing jobs that they might be good at, but a job that’s a million miles away from the thing that they actually love. That’s got to be unfulfilling right? Not to mention the fact that we only get one shot at this life, and it’s only us who can make the most of it!

Here are my 4 Reasons to Start Doing What You Love

#1 Can you imagine the impact on your whole life if you were getting paid for doing what you love every day? Your life would be incredible. No longer would you be trying to stay in bed as long as you can, you’d be looking forward to every single day. You’d be super charged, fulfilled and you’d be the very best version of yourself. That has to be of benefit, because the people in your life would get the very best version of you.

#2 How many times have you been frustrated in your job, to the extent that you’ve even said out loud “I hate my job”? If you’ve reached that cross in the road it might be time to make a decision or two. Imagine if you’re doing the job you love that’s centred around the thing that you love…..the job satisfaction you’d get almost every day.

#3 I’m a great believer that we’re on this earth to help and serve each other. If everyone is serving everyone, we’d have a world full of happy people rather than people who are just simply unfulfilled. Doing what you love brings out the best in you, and that doesn’t go unnoticed; it actually inspires others. I believe that if you could help just one other person by doing what you love……that’s a massive achievement.

#4 You’d be incredibly happy in your own skin. You’d be happy with who you really and truly are. You’d be your most authentic you. This is huge, and scary at the same time because not everyone in your not-so-fulfilled-life will stick around for your journey. You’ll attract people who are just like you.

Being happy is what every human being strives for, but we often look in the wrong places. Dig deep and figure out what it is that inspires you, what do you truly love, and who is the authentic you? Bring all of this together and you’ll be amazed.

Gracefully yours.
