3 Tips on Creating Content for your Business

We all know that creating content for our businesses is necessary if we are to maintain an online presence, and it can often be a long winded chore to keep up with. As Bill Gates once said “Content is King”, and this is absolutely true if we’re to communicate to our ideal clients on social media platforms and anywhere else.

Mastering a way to save time when creating and getting content out there is a complete game changer in your business. Many people ask me how I manage to stay on top of it all with my businesses, and how do I cope with spending so much time on social media. The truth is, I don’t spent too much time on it at all. I create in batches, I post with a scheduler and I repurpose.

I literally spend minimum time on social media and I’m not spending my days creating and creating content.

So here are my 3 Time Saving tips on Creating Content for your Business

#1 Create Master Content

Creating master content is the place to start. Relevant content in long form, like a blog posts, or articles or something your audience can really get stuck into and learn from. Creating master content will also work if you’re a person who prefers video content rather than written. You’d do the same thing, create a master video that gives lots of information.

#2 Posting with an Online Scheduler

People are said to spend on average 2½ hours a day on social media. If you’re trying to run a business, that’s a lot of your time, that could be better spent elsewhere.

When you use an online scheduler to post your social media content, you can cut your time down to literally a few minutes a day. Your online scheduler will post for you on the dates and times you require and you won’t even have to lift a finger. You can quickly go online to check for comments that need replying to, and get out. The great thing is, your audience (your ideal client) will love that you’re showing up frequently for them.

#3 Repurposing your Master Content

Your ideal client isn’t online all day every day, and they may not be online at the precise moment your posts are scheduled to appear. So it’s important to accept that your posts and your ideal clients seeing them will often be a case of hit and miss, not to mention the fact that all your posts are not automatically shown to all of your followers.

Therefore, repurposing your content is a very healthy thing to do. Many small business owners resist this for fear of being seen to be repetitive, but the truth is, we often have to see the same thing over and over again before buying into it, and the 2nd or 3rd time you repurpose may be the first time some of your ideal clients get to see it.

Go ahead and try out these 3 easy tips, give your content creation the kiss of life and see how much time you save online.
